An Intimate Evening At Desmond's

Supporters of the Alloy Theater Company were hosted at a cocktail reception to celebrate the upcoming production of BRONTË A Portrait of Charlotte, directed by Timothy Douglas, and starring Irish born actress Maxine Linehan.   The intimate gathering took place at the chic, upper east-side restaurant Desmond's, home of acclaimed chef and restaurateur, David Hart who prepared a spectacular menu for the guests.  Ms. Linehan treated supporters and guests to a reading of one of Charlotte Brontë’s many letters.  The actress will take on the tour de force role of Charlotte, made famous by American born actress Julie Harris, when the Alloy Theater production opens on May 8 at Theater 511 (511 West 54th street, NYC).Tickets are available at Ovation Tx.  Go to http://www.alloytheater.org/.
